The main theme of dance performance „Vigil“, awarded with the Golden Stage Cross (the highest award for theatre excellence) for the Best Choreography of the Year 2008, is a state of inner watch. Through abstract dance language and associative images this performance shows a constant cycle of faith, disappointment, retraction and returning to your chosen values. It portrays human spiritual transformation and attempts to grope signs of changing reality.

Vytis Jankauskas Dance Company was founded in 1997. In 2004, the Company was given the status of professional dance theatre.
